Our Story
Since 1958, Bahar Timber has been a family-owned company operating in the forest products sector. Beyond Ayous lumber, we supply our customers with a broad inventory of select wood species imported from across the globe.

Solutions from nature
Since our founding, we have emphasized aesthetics, elegance, and attention to fine detail in every project, standing out not only for functionality but also for our visual approach; at every step we aim to leave a lasting impression by uniting quality and beauty.
Logs
Logs are the primary raw material for structural, furniture, and veneer production; precise cutting and kiln/conditioning drying reduce internal stresses, preventing cracking and warping.
Species density, grain continuity, and natural oils/extractives dictate the most suitable applications; species with high natural durability perform better outdoors and in wet areas.
Sawn Timber
Sawn timber is the fundamental construction material obtained by cutting and drying logs; it is used in framing, beams, flooring, and cladding for architectural and structural applications.
Proper drying balances moisture content, reducing movement and checking while improving the performance of adhesives and surface finishes (paint/varnish).
Decking
Decking is an exterior flooring system that must withstand moisture, UV, temperature fluctuations, and foot traffic.
Material selection considers density, natural oils/extractives, and fibre structure; oily species such as iroko or teak and thermally modified options deliver strong performance.
Plywood
Plywood is an engineered panel made by cross-laminating veneers at 90° and pressing them together; this construction provides stability against bending and dimensional movement.
Adhesive selection depends on use: urea-formaldehyde (E1/E0) for interiors, phenolic WBP for exterior/marine applications; performance is classified with EN 636 grades (S1/S2/S3).
