A journey shaped by wood, built on trust.

Istanbul, Kartal · 1958
Bahar Timber entered the industry in 1958 as a family business producing veneers in Istanbul’s Kartal district. From that day forward we have continually expanded our expertise in wood, becoming a trusted partner in both domestic and international markets with a broad product portfolio.
Today our company successfully imports, exports, and supplies marine plywood, logs, sawn timber, solid wood panels, decking, and exotic species such as teak, iroko, and mahogany, supporting major projects with aesthetic, high-performance solutions.
The natural spirit of wood meets Bahar’s reliability…
02Our production expertise
Natural materials.Expert hands.

From the world to your project.
We bring timber sourced across Asia, Africa and the Americas together with our production expertise.
With more than fifty years of experience, Bahar Timber imports logs and lumber from select countries across Asia, Africa, and the Americas. As a market leader in Turkey, we manage an annual capacity of approximately 25,000 m³ of log imports, 10,000 m³ of sawn timber, and 10,000 m³ of plywood production.
Our facilities process both in-house production and directly imported logs and timbers in three main lines:
- 01
Log processing
A log processing plant with an annual capacity of 10,000 m³
- 02
Controlled drying
Nine state-of-the-art Italian kilns with full electronic control and a net drying capacity of 750–900 m³ each
- 03
Precision machining
Three high-tech German production lines manufacturing parquet, cladding, sauna boards, decking, and custom profiles, plus 2 mm+ hardwood top-layer production
- 04
Marine plywood
Fully automated Italian-Brazilian-German lines that produce marine plywood to Rina Certificate standards (10,000 m³ per year)
FOLLOW THE PROCESS
Care for timber. At every step.
The journey from a log to a new living space. We begin by understanding the material, preserving its natural character throughout the process.

UNDERSTANDING THE MATERIAL
A good beginning. The right timber.
Iroko, teak, ayous and sapelli. We select timber from different regions with attention to its grain and application. The story of each piece begins with this first act of care.
Natural grain · Timber species · Intended use

FROM LOG TO LUMBER
Nature’s grain. A precise touch.
Our modern production line transforms logs into lumber. Precision cutting and knot inspections help us assess each piece’s structural integrity while preserving its distinctive grain.

CONTROLLED DRYING
Finding balance, with time.
We balance the timber’s moisture in controlled drying kilns. Uniform drying helps reduce the risk of cracking and distortion, preparing the material for the next stages of production.
Moisture balance · Controlled process · Dimensional stability

DECKING AND FLOORING
Laying the ground for new spaces.
Selected species become decking and flooring through precision cutting, surface calibration and moisture balancing. We prepare natural textures for a place in interiors and outdoor living spaces.

CARE IN EVERY SURFACE
A difference you can feel.
Calibration and sanding are followed by thermal treatment, protective impregnation and surface finishes that support the wood’s durability. Natural oils and UV-resistant varnishes prepare the timber for use.

THE CYCLE CONTINUES
From nature, back into production.
We turn sawdust and offcuts into energy in our biomass boilers. The pieces left behind find a new role in production, putting resources back to work while reducing waste.

Every ending becomes a new beginning.
